Stitch by Stitch & Curiosities was a store in enchanting downtown Oberlin, Ohio, (only 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland), which has many items that could be classified as "left of center" in nature. The store carries pride items, wicca items, bumper stickers, slogan buttons, books, candles, beaded curtains, tee shirts, post cards, jewelry, incense and burners, wigs, feather boas, and many other eclectic items.

Stitch by Stitch & Curiosities is the management's own personal "soapbox". Items in the store not only reflect its viewpoint but many items support its stated cause through profits shared.

Stitch by Stitch moved to 31 South Main Street in downtown Oberlin, Ohio, on August 1st, 1994.

Originally at this location, Stitch by Stitch was strictly a tailoring area of a small store shared with Adenike Sharply of Ade's Place, now located at 16 South Main Street, Oberlin, Ohio 44074.

In November of 1996, Stitch by Stitch was the sole proprietor of 31 South Main Street and branching into the field of retail sales with slogan buttons on gay and minority rights.

Soon everything that seemed "left of center" was becoming available to the public through Stitch by Stitch, hence the name change to Stitch by Stitch & Curiosities or SbySC.
